Sein Aussehen steht mit hochglänzenden Oberflächen aus Edelstahl und einer Navigationstaste aus Aluminium für dezente Eleganz und sichtbare Schlichtheit. Sein ausgewogener Funktionsumfang lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alle Funktionen lassen sich intuitiv bedienen. So kann der Nutzer sich mit einem dezenten zweifachen Tippen die Uhrzeit, Erinnerungen oder Benachrichtigungen anzeigen lassen. Ebenso kann er auf diese Weise eingehende Anrufe direkt und diskret abweisen oder stumm schalten.
Die 3,2-Megapixel-Kamera ermöglicht das Aufnehmen qualitativ hochwertiger Fotos und Videos. Sie lassen sich direkt aus dem Foto-Menü heraus über Internetdienste hochladen oder per MMS versenden. In Verbindung mit der integrierten Anwendung Nokia Maps, einer separat erhältlichen Navigationslizenz, dem als Zubehör erhältlichen Nokia Bluetooth GPS-Modul LD-4W und dem großen QVGA-Display mit 5,6 cm Displaydiagonale (2,2 Zoll), auf dem sich digitale Karten brillant darstellen lassen, eignet sich das Nokia 6600 slide als praktische Navigationslösung.
Der Preis für das Nokia 6600 slide wird ohne Mobilfunkvertrag und Steuern bei voraussichtlich 250 Euro liegen. Mit der Auslieferung wird voraussichtlich im dritten Quartal 2008 begonnen.
